Why choose the CCMH| Foothills College of Massage Therapy?

Is your college approved for funding?

We are approved for both ASL (Alberta Student Loans) and CSL (Canada Student Loans)

When do the programs start?

Currently there are two intakes for our 2,287 Hour Massage Therapy Diploma program - September and January! September start will include a summer break and January start is a fast tracked program that does not include a 'summer break'.

What is the tuition cost for the program?

The cost for the program is determined by the campus to which you apply. Select Campus from the main menu and then choose tuition for the exact cost for a given program.

How long is the massage therapy program of study?

The Diploma can be completed either over 24 months or in 18 months (fast track option).

Are there any additional expenses other than tuition?

Yes. Textbooks are available for purchase from the campus or at most bookstores. Students are also responsible for their First Aid/CPR training, which is generally required after graduation, to obtain professional liability insurance and or apply for membership with an association or college. You are also recommended to purchase a portable massage table, any extra linens for the practical classes and suitable clinic attire. Do you have campus tours?

Yes. Tours of the Calgary campus can be booked by appointment by contacting admissions at 403 255 4445 or e-mail: calgary@collegeofmassage.com. We also hold admissions Open House presentations and offer a "Student for a Day" program for prospective students wanting to explore a career in massage therapy.

Is there a charge for the Student for a Day?

No, these programs, as well as our admissions Open House Events are available to students investigating a career in massage therapy who wish to experience first-hand what CCMH| Foothills has to offer.

Is there recognition outside of Alberta?

Provincial licensing varies from province to province. CCMH Foothills 2,200 Hour Massage Therapy Diploma is recognized by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and Newfoundland and Labrador and all of the provincial professional associations for application to complete the Entry to Practice Examinations or membership as applicable and required. So in one word, yes, this program is recognized within and outside of Alberta. Prospective Students are encouraged to make inquiries at both the municipal and provincial levels in their location to ascertain what requirements are necessary.
